Across the nation, leaders are transforming public participation and breaking generational barriers—like securing the funds, after almost 100 years since its construction, to repair the pool in the Black district in Lexington, to implementing Proportional Representation in Portland, to bringing political education to hip hop artists in Albuquerque, to allowing independent voters to vote in New Mexico primaries, the list goes on.
